During the third quarter of 2023, the top five investing and financial management applications in Central America exhibited significant trends in their performance metrics. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into their weekly downloads, active users, and revenue.

Cryptomania —Trading Simulator saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 36.7K in the week of August 21. The app also experienced a steady rise in weekly active users, reaching a high of approximately 73.3K in the same week. Revenue-wise, it maintained a stable trend, with weekly revenue fluctuating around $200 to $279 throughout the quarter.

CetesDirecto showed a remarkable surge in weekly downloads, hitting a peak of 48.7K in mid-August. It also had a robust user base, with weekly active users climbing to about 284K around the same period. Despite the high engagement, the app did not generate any revenue during this quarter.

Finamex demonstrated a notable increase in weekly downloads, with a significant spike to 31.6K in the week of August 21. Active users also showed an upward trend, reaching approximately 133K in the same week. Similar to CetesDirecto, Finamex did not record any revenue during this period.

Bitso saw a varied trend in downloads, peaking at about 30.7K at the end of June and then experiencing a gradual decline. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 120K to 158K throughout the quarter. The app did not generate any revenue in Q3 2023.

Lastly, IQ Option – Trading Platform maintained a steady download rate, with a peak of around 19.9K in late July. The number of active users fluctuated slightly, averaging between 99K and 122K over the quarter. Similar to the other apps, IQ Option did not report any revenue during this period.
